Thursday - May 5

The best part of breakfast in Taiwan is the individualized coffee machines that have been at every location we stayed. Here, one cup is equal to several at home and it tastes like a triple shot espresso from Starbucks. We left the hotel headed on a 1 hour bus trip Headed to the Pu-Li paper plant. After visiting the plant we headed to Sun Mon Lake National Scenic area and took a boat ride. After a very long day, we arrived at Sun Moon Lake Youth Activity Center completely exhausted around 10:30 p.m.

The facility was very clean and the grounds were beautiful. Our room was like a dormitory with 4 single beds and 2 separate bathroom stalls. I have a new vision for the sleeping arrangements at the cottage in Manistee! Church Camp may need an Extreme Home Makeover!
